I love, love accent walls. In our last house I had a wood panel wall and a stenciled wall, but in this house I wanted to try something different. Garage sales are my gig. I love them.

As a little girl, I remember looking through the Saturday newspaper  with a paper folded map and circling the garage sales we wanted to check out (back in the 80s…pre-internet). Homemade Laundry Soap

This is one of the best discoveries I’ve ever made and I get asked for this recipe all of the time. Almost my entire extended family makes their own soap now. It’s great for people who have sensitive skin or don’t like the scents put in other detergents. Here’s why we started making it:
1. We were having a baby and didn’t want to spend all that money on Dreft.
2. Detergent is so stinkin’ expensive, we knew there had to be another way.
3. I just kinda like making my own stuff
